The Cheese Paddle No.5 is one of the largest cheese boards we make. The width and length of this cheese paddle shows off the dramatic white oak grain, each board has its own style. Proud cheese board owners often send us pictures documenting the gentle ageing of the wood over time.
While many owners treat their Cheese Paddles very gently, the materials used in these cheese boards can withstand a lot of wear and tear. We encourage owners to use their cheese boards as everyday chopping boards as well as handy serving trays.

Smoked Oak
Our Smoked Oak is made to order and is created through a traditional fuming process that enriches and darkens the timber's natural tones without the use of pigments. This process brings the wood's natural tannins to the surface, creating a deep, sophisticated hue that runs deep into thickness of the timber—meaning the color won't scratch or wear off over time. This process is random and may result in light, stripy or very dark features. Please add a comment if you'd like a particular finish
Every piece displays stunning natural variation depending on the tannin content of the specific tree. We use only FSC certified Oak, guaranteeing that the raw material meets the highest global standards for forest management. This process results in a beautiful, marbled finish that is as sustainable as it is durable. -
White Oak
American White Oak is a premium hardwood celebrated for its incredible strength and natural resistance to decay. Featuring a straight grain and a medium-to-coarse texture, it is defined by distinctive growth rings and medullary rays that give each piece unique character.
While historically favoured for boat building, we choose White Oak for its high density and durability in the kitchen. Our timber is strictly FSC certified, ensuring it is harvested from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. Its natural strength ensures your boards remain stable through years of daily use.
