Acacia
Acacia wood is prized for its remarkable durability and rich, natural beauty. Known for its dense grain, this sustainably sourced hardwood features warm tones ranging from golden amber to deep chocolate, often highlighted with unique and distinctive grain patterns. Resistant to water and naturally antibacterial, Acacia wood is ideal for kitchenware, as it gracefully withstands daily use while adding an elegant, rustic charm to any culinary space.FSC 100% CERTIFIED -
Beech
American Beechwood is one of the most dense and shock-resistant hardwoods available. It is characterized by its pale cream sapwood and warm, reddish-brown heartwood, often featuring a fine, uniform grain with tiny, distinctive silvery fleck patterns.
Known for its exceptional "wear-ability," Beech stays smooth even after years of heavy friction and use. We value it for its clean, minimalist aesthetic and its ability to withstand the rigors of a busy kitchen without splintering or wearing down. Sourced exclusively from FSC certified forests, our Beechwood represents a commitment to long-term forest health, ensuring this plentiful and sturdy resource is managed with the highest environmental integrity.FSC 100% CERTIFIED -
Black Walnut
Prized for its deep, chocolate-brown tones and elegant grain patterns, Black Walnut is the hallmark of premium kitchenware. It is a rich timber that possesses a high level of natural lustre, ranging from dark tan to deep coffee hues. Over time, Black Walnut develops a magnificent patina that only enhances its appearance.
Our Black Walnut is 100% FSC certified, ensuring that this precious resource is harvested with respect for biodiversity. Choosing Walnut for your kitchen isn't just about the striking aesthetic—it’s an investment in a timber that is as enduring as it is iconic.FSC 100% CERTIFIED -
Smoked Oak
Our Smoked Oak is made to order and is created through a traditional fuming process that enriches and darkens the timber's natural tones without the use of pigments. This process brings the wood's natural tannins to the surface, creating a deep, sophisticated hue that runs deep into thickness of the timber—meaning the color won't scratch or wear off over time. This process is random and may result in light, stripy or very dark features. Please add a comment if you'd like a particular finish
Every piece displays stunning natural variation depending on the tannin content of the specific tree. We use only FSC certified Oak, guaranteeing that the raw material meets the highest global standards for forest management. This process results in a beautiful, marbled finish that is as sustainable as it is durable.FSC 100% CERTIFIED -
Walnut Stained Beech
To ensure a perfect tonal match across our collections, our darker pieces are crafted from the same high-density American Beechwood as our lighter models. By using a deep, walnut-toned stain rather than a different timber species, we are able to achieve superior consistency in grain pattern across your entire set of mills and tools.
This approach is a core part of our commitment to sustainability; by utilising the same FSC certified beechwood for multiple finishes, we significantly reduce timber wastage during production. The result is a sophisticated, dark appearance that retains all the shock-resistant and hard-wearing qualities of natural Beech, while providing a seamless aesthetic for your kitchen.FSC 100% CERTIFIED -
White Oak
American White Oak is a premium hardwood celebrated for its incredible strength and natural resistance to decay. Featuring a straight grain and a medium-to-coarse texture, it is defined by distinctive growth rings and medullary rays that give each piece unique character.
While historically favoured for boat building, we choose White Oak for its high density and durability in the kitchen. Our timber is strictly FSC certified, ensuring it is harvested from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. Its natural strength ensures your boards remain stable through years of daily use.FSC 100% CERTIFIED
