The classic geometric proportions of circle and pentagon give the Asterisk its pleasing appearance. It is a beautifully crafted object; the pale golden grain of the Celery Pine is set off against the dark ancient Red Gum legs.
The Red Gum is sourced from logs that have been submerged or buried in mud for up to 10,000 years; only a few logs are discovered each year. We use this precious ancient timber sparingly and reserve it for our signature products.
We give the board a light coating of Australian orange oil and we recommend a light rub with a natural oil each year.
